Yarmouth is a town located north of Portland with a population of about 2,400 and has a total area of 22.94 square miles, is nearly square in form and is bisected by the Royal River.
Be sure to check our the annual three-day Clam Festival on the third weekend of July every year. The festival was established in 1965 and attracts around 120,000 people each year. It features a parade, food, carnival rides, crafts, a clam-shucking contest, a five-mile run and a world-class bike race.
