Jobs for Maine’s Graduates

It has truly been an honor working with and helping so many people in this area over the past 25 years. Being involved with programs at our local schools has by far been our favorite thing to do though! It started with weekly time in the classroom when our own kids were young, has included hosting car washes at our office to support various sports teams and evolved into lots of job shadow events with kids in the elementary schools, Memorial and Mahoney Middle Schools and an internship program for high school seniors.

These interactions are one of the things we’ve missed most  during the covid pandemic when so many things that brought  us all together had to be cancelled. But we are back!

As covid eased, Jeff Kozaka, an 8th grade teacher at Mahoney Middle School asked if I would visit his classroom again and speak with his “Jobs for Maine Graduates” class. I immediately responded, “What day, what time and what did he want me to talk about!?”

We had a great time discussing business marketing and branding and it was the fastest hour of my year! I hope the students enjoyed it as much as I did. I can’t wait for the next opportunity to meet with the kids!
