November 2007 Update What a busy world in Real Estate since September! Gloom and doom seems to be the media’s battle cry for the 2nd and 3rd quarters of this year, but we’ve experienced steady activity during this time period. Right now we are 12-14% above our 2006 volume and 3-5% above 2006 average price. From what we hear around the local area, most agents are 15-30% down from last years numbers which means we are 27-44% above the average agent's activity levels! The most important thing for sellers to look for right now is an aggressive marketing plan and sometimes adapting and changing that plan after a few weeks on the market. The other important factor is pricing your home aggressively and competitively against other homes listed in your price range. Homes that are over priced just don’t stand a chance in today’s market as buyers have more bargaining power than they’ve had in the past 8 years! Entering the market, there are challenges, but interest rates remain steady and that will continue to keep this market active. Now is the time to wisely pick and choose who will be representing you as you make one of the major decisions of your lives.
