Student Job Shadow On February 9th 2007 Donna Viola’s 6th grade class from the Scarborough Middle School were honored guests at Linscott Real Estate and part of Maine students participating in Junior Achievement’s Annual Job Shadow Day. 19 students were divided into 4 groups, visited a home that is currently on the market, took notes as to condition, location and finish work in the home. Once back at Linscott Real Estate office, the students organized a marketing campaign for the home and reviewed the market for current, under contract and sold properties and came up with their recommendations as to what price the home should sell for. The morning full of activity was topped off by pizza and juice from Dipietro’s. “This is an annual event that we all look forward to,” say’s Brian Linscott of Linscott Real Estate. “We enjoy showing the students a small glimpse of our world and sharing some information with them as to where we are from and how this business works.” Linscott Real Estate takes part in many community events and offers the use of “Brian’s Community Van” to local non-profit organizations for their use.
