Market Update June 2007 We are approaching the half way mark for 2007! We made it through the gloom and doom of our sloppy and dreary spring and now everything is budding and blooming. The real estate market was also down throughout the spring but it is picking up quickly even as I write. I’ve talked with many agents throughout the first half of 2007 and have heard the same consistent remarks. The market was slow with a lot of inventory that took about 2 to 4 months to sell. The interesting fact hough, is that prices are maintaining even though the media is pumping out articles about the prices of homes continuing to go down. That’s just not the case here in Southern Maine. Each month the statistics show modest gains in the median sales price of homes over last year's numbers but the number of homes sold is definitely down from last year. Our referral program is up and running smoothly! We’ve given out over 95 referrals so far this year to our Fortunate Five Hundred. Thanks so much to those of you who continue to call us with potential buyers and sellers. It’s really great helping people that have been referred to us by one of our past clients, contractors or friends.
